Who we are
Research enthusiast meets strategist
We’re a research and communication agency that tackles complex issues. We believe that development decisions should be based on sound evidence. Our clients want to push boundaries - shape policy, inform investments, establish best practice, serve as thought leaders - and most of all, accelerate impact.
We’re a group of question designers, story listeners, data crunchers, fact believers, problem solvers, and trend spotters on a mission to get to the heart of why. Our team is made up of researchers, implementers, returned Peace Corps volunteers, strategists, graphic designers, data visualizers, and communications experts. Some of us came from academia, others from non-profits and the private sector. We all believe that the world needs more curiosity, understanding, and action.

Insight
A new development landscape
Development has changed significantly in the past decade and we recognize that there’s desire (and yes, pressure) to demonstrate impact. New players have emerged, including the private sector and foundations supporting social change initiatives at a global scale. Likewise, social enterprises, traditional donors, and national governments are rethinking their strategies and aiming to build better partnerships for development. It’s an exciting and complicated time to work in the development field.
